“And likewise, all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel and his successors onward, also announced these days.”
(Acts 3:24)
Some of the men of God who have gone before us:
This is a "starter list" of men of God whose teaching of the Word is on par with, or perhaps more in depth and inclusive even on certain subjects than were those of John Robert Stevens at his height. This will be the first installment of Kingdom oriented authors I will send. The topics they cover will be diverse, but all have informed me over time and provided me with a vital source of confirmation and a "testing of the spirits" in re: other voices throughout the years speaking basic confirmation of many of the early teachings we received. I cannot vouch for everything they say because I too have not read or heard all they have said or written, but there are plenty of truths we know and share which you will recognize to be self-evident, and relatively familiar. Also be advised that most, if not all, of these ones were pioneers in the things of God...cutting edge...ahead of their times, etc., and as is usually the case with people like these who were/are on the front lines, they have had their strong critics and persecutors for what they spoke and how they lived their lives, a situation we too in like manner have known. There always seems to be resistance to those whose address is: "The Front Lines."

Watchman Nee speaks deeply on the work of the "Cross;" personal growth and maturity born out of a walk with God; Holiness (which was greatly lacking in TLWF); the compiler and originator of the Spirit, Soul, and Body revelations decades before John Robert Stevens; The Overcomers; the Man Child; Sonship; New Testament Church order; the development of Godly attributes required by those who also worked with Church planting and shepherding, and much more.
Additionally, I cannot more highly recommend reading his biography, Against the Tide by Angus Kinnear. It is at once culturally and historically enlightening relative to the social/historical trends in China during his lifetime; and a statement of the deep devotion and integrity he displayed toward God throughout his ministerial life. I think it is available on Amazon. Regarding the nature and reality of Sonship teachings, I recommend perhaps reading first his book entitled: The Glorious Church. That said, all the teachings, however, will empower your walk with God regardless of where you start. The Three-Book statement on "Spirit, Soul, and Body" is a major journey in and of itself.
George Warnock certainly stands out as one of the great seminal voices of the 20th Century in codifying both the theologies of the "Manifested Sons of God" teaching, and the summarizing of the intricate relevance of the Three Ancient Feasts of Israel and their New Testament counterparts, Christ our Passover Lamb (Pasach), the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost (Shauvot), and the yet unfulfilled Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot). I believe you will love his other writings too, very deep and very biblical. His naysayers are wrong and incomplete in their own theology and understanding of God's eternal purposes. His magnum opus is: The Feast of Tabernacles, which is actually not lengthy, but very deep.
Bill Britton was contemporary with John Robert Stevens headquartered in the Springfield, Missouri area. I do not believe they knew each other nor did their paths ever cross. This was too bad, because they had much to offer each other. I heard him speak on several occasions back in the early '70's here in San Diego while he was on a ministry trip to California. Very powerful and compelling. A strong anointed presence like John Robert Stevens. Very deep Sonship and Kingdom teaching. Unfortunately as I just discovered today in researching these links that most of his written Words are no longer in print, as you will see when you start researching his material. I was blown away, because he too was one of the great voices of the 20th Century in re: these important teachings. To think that his Words are not available now is a huge loss to Christianity. This is unacceptable. But, please enjoy what there is left of Britton's teaching.
I thought it was interesting though that Britton's group is also hosting some of George Warnoch's material and it is likewise available through them. I guess that should be no great surprise, Warnock was well known and appreciated in these other Sonship oriented groups. As I mentioned the other day, I have a pastor friend in Alaska whose group would invite Warnoch to speak at their conferences in times past. But, neither my Alaska friend's group (also a Sonship group), Bill Britton's group, or Warnoch's group were actively connected, except through the sharing of the same teachings...and to repeat, most of which were very close to what we originally knew under John Robert Stevens.
So my Dear Brethren, this is the first installment. All of these resources alone should occupy some of your discretionary time in the days ahead. None of this is to be a look back nostalgically at what once was, but to use as confirmation to what we feel in our hearts to continue expressing today and into the future! I do feel it is important to know that the body of teaching we have received was not isolated with respect to us alone, but was simply a part of a Word God was/is bringing to the earth. If this material can serve merely as confirming thoughts which strengthen what we already know to be true, then hopefully it will have served its purpose. From here "we continue to contend for the faith which was once given to the saints!" This is a re-calibration of what we have known and a spring board into the future.
